Delhi BJP vows to usher in development
New Delhi: Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Monday claimed that residents of the city had decided to change govt, as they were "fed up with Kejriwal's excuses for not doing any development work". "In the next 48 hours, all BJP workers will dedicate themselves completely to ensuring that every possible vote is cast," he added.
Sachdeva further claimed, "Today, the middle class, slum dwellers, Purvanchalis, and the Dalit community are all ready to become the architects of BJP's victory."
Union minister Harsh Malhotra said that this assembly election would change the direction and destiny of Delhi. "In this entire election campaign, on one side, BJP informed the people about the work and welfare schemes of central govt, while on the other hand, AAP couldn't showcase what it did in the last 10 years," he claimed, adding that "AAP only created disputes and spread political pollution."
"This time, BJP will form govt in Delhi. We will bring 13,000 electric buses and will work to beautify the Yamuna along the lines of Sabarmati Front within three years," he claimed.
South Delhi MP Ramveer Singh Bidhuri said that "Delhi no longer wanted a govt that spent money on constructing Sheesh Mahal." "Kejriwal's govt implemented a new liquor policy in Delhi, looted people, caused a scam worth crores, and pushed Delhi govt into a deficit of 3,000 crore rupees," he alleged.
"Kejriwal is spreading a rumour that BJP will stop providing 200 units of free electricity, free bus travel for women, and 20,000 litres of free water. But these schemes are for public welfare, and they will continue and improve under BJP govt. Free electricity will continue, but we will remove the surcharge," he said.
"Based on the dialogue with the common people over the past few months, we can confidently say that this time, a BJP govt is being formed in Delhi," claimed MP Praveen Khandelwal.
