For geography, maps are the key: Expert
Jaipur: For the geography paper in class-12 board exams, students should divide the syllabus into parts while revising and practise questions from chapters that carry more marks, say subject experts.
Vikram Singh Shekhawat, a geography teacher at Sanskar School Jaipur, said practising maps is a key way for students to score well easily.
"Out of 70 marks for the theory exams, 10 marks are allotted for maps, and if practised properly, students can easily secure these marks. While solving the paper on the exam day, students should start with solving questions related to maps as it will take a maximum of five minutes, and they will be able to cover a key part of the paper initially," said Shekhawat.
Students, he said, must practise question papers from previous years' exams and go through at least the past ten years' questions, especially to understand what kind of questions can be asked in the one-mark section.
"There are 17 questions of one mark value, which can be secured easily as those are mainly multiple-choice questions. For questions of 3 marks and 5 marks in the paper, students should write the answer in points," said Shekhawat.
