Woman repeatedly raped, three-year-old daughter molested

Rajkot: A 26-year-old married woman has accused her neighbour of repeatedly raping her and molesting her three-year-old daughter by threatening to kill the child.
The woman, who lives in a society on Jamnagar Road, lodged a complaint against the 25-year-old man at Gandhigram police station on Sunday.
According to the woman's complaint, the accused, a driver working for a private company, frequented her husband's shop for deliveries, leading to their acquaintance and eventual friendship. When her husband was jailed, she took over the shop's operations for financial stability.
Taking advantage of her husband's absence, the accused allegedly started harassing her — calling frequently, turning up at the shop and later threatening to kill her children. The woman further alleged that he molested her daughter and blackmailed her by threatening to defame her.
On the pretext of reconciliation, he took her to a hotel where he raped her. He allegedly continued to sexually abuse her and forcibly took away Rs 30,000 in cash and her mobile phone.
