Doctor dies in car accident

Belagavi: Asha Koli, 32, a doctor from Sanganakeri in Gokak taluk, died on the spot after the car she was travelling in hit a truck ahead. Her husband, Dr Bhimappa Koli, and the driver were injured in the incident, which occurred on Tuesday morning, near Hirebagewadi on Pune-Bengaluru National Highway-4. A horrific road accident occurred between a truck and a car on the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway in the early hours of Tuesday, and the doctor died on the spot. The doctor's family was on the way towards Belagavi from Dharwad. Dr Asha's husband, Dr Bhimappa Koli, and driver Mahesh Khot were seriously injured in the incident and were admitted to the hospital. Hirebagewadi police visited the spot and inspected it. A case was registered.
