Army organises tour for Pune students in Arunachal
Itanagar: Indian Army's Gajraj Corps is facilitating a 10-day educational tour for 24 mass communication students from Pune to the forward areas of Arunachal Pradesh as part of the Border Area Tourism Initiative.
The tour aims to provide students with an experience of the region's strategic significance, cultural diversity and the valour of the armed forces, a media release said.
The itinerary includes visits to key locations such as Tawang, known for its historical and patriotic significance; Nyukmadung, a site of strategic battles; and the Subedar Joginder Singh and Jaswant Garh War Memorials, dedicated to the sacrifices of Indian soldiers. The students will also explore the Holy Waterfalls and Holy Tree, revered for their spiritual significance, and the Bob Khating Museum.
