Workshop on Study in Kerala initiative

The Kerala State Higher Education Council organised a workshop as part of the Study in Kerala initiative of the Higher Education Department on Monday.

Led by a team from the University of Michigan, including Zacharia Mathew, Sapna Thwaite and Matthew A. Witenstein, the workshop explored strategies for international collaboration, leveraging Kerala’s strengths in high-quality education, safety, inclusivity, and cultural heritage.

Discussions also covered short-term courses, exchange programmes, faculty-led study tours and summer schools. Representatives from various universities and colleges attended the programme.

Council vice-chairperson Rajan Gurukkal inaugurated the workshop. Council member secretary Rajan Varughese, officer in-charge of internationalisation Eldho Mathews and research officers Uthara Soman and Tinchu P. James also spoke.
