JSR girl dies in road accident

Jamshedpur: An 18-year-old girl died while her companion suffered injuries when their motorcycle was hit by a pick-up van at Narwa in Jaduguda near here on Sunday.
The victim, Kirti Patel of Birsanagar, was riding pillion without a helmet when the accident occurred. Kirtan Singh (22) from Govindpur suffered a fracture in the right leg. They were on way to Rankini temple for Basant Panchami.
The van driver took the victims to MGM hospital, where Patel was declared brought dead.
"She was not wearing a helmet," Singh said.
The Jaduguda police launched a probe into the case.
