1218 criminals arrested in Saran

Chhapra: Saran Police have arrested 1218 criminals and seized 14,180 litres of liquor during a special drive in the month of January this year. Saran SP Kumar Ashish said the arrested criminals were involved in murder, attempt to murder, dowry death, loot, dacoity, burglary, rape and other cases. Police seized 20kg of ganja, 5 grams of smack, nine pistols and recovered Rs 32 lakh in cash. The police also collected Rs 47,43,500 from vehicle owners who violated traffic rules. The police also unearthed a mini gun factory in the month of January.
