A heart-wrenching incident took place in the district-level Public Grievances Redressal System (PGRS) meeting at Nellore Collectorate on Monday. A woman carried her three-year-old son’s body to Tikkana Pranganam seeking justice.

She alleged that her husband Srikanth ignored the responsibilities of the family and did not take care of them. She claimed that his negligence had led to the death of their son at Nellore Government General Hospital (GGH) on Monday. Her in-laws also ignored her plight.

After receiving the complaint, District Collector O. Anand responded immediately and assured to give her justice. Nellore Rural Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) had earlier supported her in residing at her in-laws home in Mulapet. Due to the delay, the cremation of the boy’s body will take place on Tuesday.

According to Chinna Bazar police officials, Srikanth was involved in Nellore Municipal Corporation (NMC) Commissioner’s forgery and misconduct scam. He had been absconding along with several NMC officials and the husband of Mayor. A case had already been filed against him.
