Doctor dies in SUV crash, colleague critically injured

Hyderabad: A promising young doctor lost his life in a road accident in the early hours of Saturday at Narsingi. Dr V Jayanth, 24, was a house surgeon working in a corporate hospital. His colleague, Bhoomika, who was with him, survived but suffered grievous injuries.
The accident occurred around 4.30 am after Jayanth and Bhoomika, both of whom had attended a wedding in Shankarpally on Friday night, were returning home.While travelling in the SUV driven by Jayanth, they reached Khanapur, where he reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash into a large advertisement hoarding pole on the median at high speed.
The impact was devastating, and Jayanth was killed instantly. Bhoomika was critically injured and quickly rushed to a nearby hospital, where she is receiving treatment. Jayanth was a resident of Bachupally, while Bhoomika, who is also a house surgeon, resides in LB Nagar.
Due to the impact of the crash, the front portion of the SUV was completely mangled, with its tires ripped from the vehicle. Local residents immediately alerted police, who responded swiftly to the scene. In the aftermath of the tragedy, police have filed a case of negligence resulting in death, based on Bhoomika's complaint.
The young doctor's body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for a postmortem examination.
