Thumba St. Xavier’s College celebrates diamond jubilee

St. Xavier’s College, Thumba, celebrated its diamond jubilee with a formal ceremony on Friday.

Higher Education Minister R. Bindu, who inaugurated the programme, lauded the institution’s immense contributions to educational empowerment in the coastal belt.

V. Sasi, MLA, presided over the function. Sreenarayanaguru Open University Vice-Chancellor in-charge Jagathy Raj V.P. delivered the keynote address. Latin Archdiocese of Thiruvananthapuram Vicar General Eugene Pereira, college manager Sunny Jose S.J. and Principal Nisha Rani D. also spoke on the occasion.

The programme marked the launch of a series of academic and cultural events, including a national seminar, inter-collegiate elocution, and quiz competitions. The diamond jubilee celebrations will conclude in March.
