Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) national senior vice president M.P. Abdussamad Samadani, MP, described the Union Budget as criminally neglecting the serious issues of people’s lives and undermining the country’s federalism.
“There is nothing proactive in the Budget to address basic issues like poverty, unemployment, and price rise,” he said. “The Budget turned a blind eye to supplications by various sections for aid to those devastated by the landslides in Wayanad,” he added.
Mr. Samadani added that by ignoring people’s pleas for help, the Budget had sacrificed its humanity. “Every Budget should have a heart, but this one has failed miserably. A Budget without empathy is a Budget without a soul,” he said.
