BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. - Police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing 13-year-old girl from Florida.

The Satellite Beach Police Department said Avery Rice last was seen Jan. 29 at the Scoops Ice Cream shop in the Atlantic Plaza in the Brevard County area.

The backstory

Police said Avery last was seen on video surveillance around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Scoops.

However, officials reported there have been no confirmed sightings of Avery since then.

Police reported Avery to have brown eyes, brown hair and to be wearing braces. Avery is about 4 feet and 10 inches tall, officials stated.

According to police, she last was seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts, and black and white shoes.
