Thombattu Lakshmi, a Maoist and native of Udupi district, will surrender before officers of Udupi district administration on Sunday.

Lakshmi was active in the Maoist movement and has been named an accused in three cases in Udupi district.

“She had been to Andhra Pradesh, and for over 15 years had been absconding. Now, she has agreed to surrender and return to the mainstream,” said K.P. Sripal, a member of State committee meant to oversee the surrender policy.
