Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu participated in the ’Pedala Seva’ initiative at Sambapalle mandal headquarters in Annamayya district on Saturday, where he engaged directly with beneficiaries and announced a variety of welfare schemes.

During his visit, the Chief Minister presented the ‘NTR Bharosa’ social security pension to an elderly beneficiary, Koppula Mangamma, who is 82 years old, while also inquiring about her health. Mangamma expressed her gratitude, indicating that the increase in her pension from ₹3,000 to ₹4,000 had significantly improved her financial situation.

She also requested assistance for housing under the NTR Housing scheme and support for her granddaughter Gangadevi, who is infected with HIV. In response, Naidu assured her of a free gas connection through the Solar Power Unit and ‘Deepam 2’ scheme, as well as the provision of an ART pension and benefits from the ‘Surya Ghar’ scheme.

The Chief Minister visited Golla Venkateshwar, a differently-abled beneficiary, at his residence. He delivered Venkateshwar’s pension and announced an increase in the disability pension to ₹6,000. Venkateshwar also requested a battery-operated bicycle, to which Chief Minister Naidu responded positively, directing District Collector Sridhar Chamakuri to take immediate action.

The Chief Minister interacted with the local villagers, engaging with both elderly residents and children. He then laid the foundation stone for the construction of CC roads and water pipelines under the Sambapalle gram panchayat, a project valued at ₹1.64 crore. In his address to the gathered audience, he underscored his government’s commitment to enhancing rural infrastructure and social welfare.

Earlier, the Chief Minister paid tribute to the statue of the former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao, recalling his contributions to the welfare and advancement of underprivileged communities. Ministers B.C. Janardhan Reddy and Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy, legislators Kishore Kumar Reddy and Shahjahan Basha, District Collector Sridhar Chamakuri and other senior officials from various government departments were also present.
