FIR against two for driving on Morjim beach

Panaji: Police filed an FIR against two individuals for allegedly driving their four-wheelers on Morjim beach in North Goa.
Head constable Satish Shetye, attached to the Mandrem police station, filed a complaint in this regard on Friday. In his complaint, Shetye said that somewhere before 8.45am at Morjim beach, Delhi resident Hassneet Singh Sengal, 29, the driver of a rented vehicle, and Vasco resident Emmanuel Lamant, 23, a taxi driver, drove their respective vehicles in a rash and negligent manner near Morjim beach.
Police said the duo also ventured onto the seashore at Morjim, which is frequented by tourists and locals, thereby endangering human lives.
The case is under investigation by Shetye.
