Rameswaram welcomes trains after two years: New Pamban bridge nears inauguration

Train services to Rameswaram are set to resume with the imminent opening of the new Pamban Rail Bridge. The bridge, inaugurated soon by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is India's first vertical lift sea bridge, built at a cost of Rs 535 crore. The new bridge replaces the old Pamban Bridge, which was closed due to safety concerns.
