The Tamizhaga Nadhigal Innaippu Vivasayigal Sangam staged protest demonstration here over a raft of demands on Thursday.

The protesters demanded a write-off of outstanding farm loans and a guaranteed pension for farmers, as well as minimum support price for crops and implementation of M.S. The protesters also called for the production of the community commons including land, forest and water bodies. The protesters also called for stringent action against pesticide and fertilizer companies for poor quality of raw materials.
