A two-day national seminar on ‘Women in contemporary social realm: new circumstances and emerging strategies’ began here on Monday under the auspices of the Department of Social Work at Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswavidyalayam (SPMVV), Tirupati, with the financial assistance of Union Bank of India (UBI).

Sri Padmavati Women’s University Vice-Chancellor V. Uma, who was the chief guest for this programme, spoke about each sector, telling how women should move forward with empowerment.

“Problems for women have always existed, but there are many people who have overcome them and excelled in the field of business or employment. Achievers have only a difference in mindset. If we can get rid of fear, then we can excel in any field,” she said.

K.V. Sucharita, Regional Head of the UBI, and staff, along with SPMVV academicians, university professors, scholars and students from six States from all over the country participated in the event.
