Patna: Teacher at a govt school died and the headmaster of the same school sustained severe injuries after a tree branch fell on them near Ali Neura village under the Meenapur police station area in Muzaffarpur district on Monday morning.
The teacher, Vishakha Devi, and the headmaster, Phoolbabu Kumar Rai, were on their way to school on a motorcycle when an out-of-control truck collided with a tree. The impact caused a branch to fall on them. Vishakha, riding pillion, was dragged along with the fallen branch. The entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed at a nearby shop.
Vishakha, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, died on the spot, while Phoolbabu, a resident of Shivraha Majhauliya, was critically injured and admitted to a hospital. Both were posted at Talimpur Middle School in Meenapur block.
