Constable accuses Navy personnel of sexual exploitation

Kanpur: A constable from a village in Bidhnu police station area has filed a complaint accusing a Navy personnel of sexually exploiting her after promising to marry her. Constable is stationed in Bhadohi district.
The constable alleged that Krishna Pratap Singh, a resident of Malpur in the Khiron area of Raebareli district, a Navy personnel used to frequently visit her village. The complainant said that Krishna raped her by promising to marry her. Later, he demanded cash worth Rs 20 lakh and a four-wheeler dowry for marriage. When the woman expressed her inability to meet these demands, he refused to marry. Krishna's marriage has been scheduled in Pratapgarh on Feb 25. Bidhnu station officer Jitendra Pratap Singh stated that a report was filed against the accused and investigations have been launched. TNN
