The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is working to come to power in Tamil Nadu in 2026, said BJP State president K. Annamalai.

Mr. Annamalai told the media in Tiruppur district on Sunday that the BJP was focusing on its growth in the State and coming to power in 2026. So, reports in social media about the views of other BJP leaders in the State would not be made into a issue, he said.

On the Vengaivayal issue, he asked why the DMK government was not ready for a CBI inquiry. The opposition parties, some of the allies of the DMK and the people of Vengaivayal were refusing to accept the charge sheet filed by the police. If the DMK government was transparent, why was it not agreeing for a CBI inquiry, he asked.
