50th floral exhibition begins at Vidhan Bhavan
Nagpur: To enliven the city winters with an amalgamation of colours, nature and fragrance, the 50th Golden Jubilee Floral Exhibition commenced on Saturday at Vidhan Bhavan. It is being organised by the Sub-division and Garden Branch of the Public Works Department (PWD). Exhibits include roses, seasonal flowering plants, decorative plant pots, flower pots, various types of cacti and garden models. A special section featuring medicinal plants has also been set up at the exhibition.
This exhibition will remain open to the public till January 26 (9am to 8pm). Entry is free for all visitors. The exhibition was inaugurated by PWD chief engineer Dinesh Nandanwar. SE Janardan Bhanu, EE Abhijit Kuchhewar and Prasad Kadulkar were also presented at the exhibition. The exhibition has received 800 entries across six different categories, with a total of 45 competitors. The participants include representatives from Raj Bhavan, Maha Metro, NADP, CPWD, as well as individual competitors. (Reporting by Yuvraj Singh)
