Opium husk smuggler with 15k bounty held

Bhilwara: Subhash Nagar police and DST team of Bhilwara city Friday arrested a opium husk smuggler who was on the run for the last one year and carrying Rs 15,000 bounty. Bhilwara SP Dharmendra Singh said that all police officers in the district have been instructed to apprehend wanted criminals. Under the leadership of Subhash Nagar police station in-charge, Shivraj Gurjar, a special team was formed. Acting on a tip-off, Gurjar and the DST team detained 25-year-old Kanhaiya Lal, a resident of Bhadsoda area in Chittorgarh district, from Sirodi Mines, Chittorgarh, for questioning. He was arrested under the NDPS Act. Gurjar said they are interrogating the accused. TNN
