Chandigarh gears up for 76th Republic Day with grand full-dress rehearsal
Chandigarh: In the lead-up to Republic Day, the Chandigarh administration conducted full-dress rehearsals at Parade Ground, Sector 17. The parade featured contingents from the police, armed forces, police band, and NSS students.
The participation of school children added a vibrant touch, exemplifying the spirit of unity, patriotism, and youthful enthusiasm.
Deputy commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav was present to oversee the full-dress rehearsals for the event. "Chandigarh Police has implemented a comprehensive security plan, including strategic traffic diversions, public advisories, and an increased security presence to manage the anticipated crowds and ensure the smooth conduct of the event," said a UT spokesperson.
The rehearsals featured cultural performances by students from various schools, showcasing the heritage and diversity of India.
