Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Chinta Mohan demanded the government to allocate ₹10,000 crore for the development of each district in the Rayalaseema region.

Speaking to media in Kurnool on Saturday, Mr. Chinta Mohan said, “I wonder what former Chief Ministers Kotla Vijayabhaskar Reddy, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, and N. Chandrababu Naidu have done to develop Kurnool.” Mr. Chinta Mohan also opposed the construction of the proposed cable-cum-suspension bridge at Sangameswar, and added that the location should be developed as a tourist destination.
