Ahmedabad: The city witnessed yet another chilling murder on Friday evening, leaving residents questioning the rising tide of violent crimes in the city. A domestic feud turned deadly when a 31-year-old man stabbed his wife to death near PT College Road in Paldi.
The couple had been fighting regularly over the past six months, said K N Bhuva, in charge inspector (Paldi).
To resolve their differences, the man and his family members went to the woman's workplace in a residential society on PT College Road. "During their conversation, the husband and wife began blaming each other for family feuds. The argument escalated when the man began abusing his wife, drew a knife and stabbed her multiple times until she collapse," said Bhuva.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was declared brought dead, and a medico-legal case was filed. Bhuva said that the husband has been arrested and charged with murder under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
