Three-day national conference on coastal histories begins in Kochi

A three-day national conference ‘Coastal Histories – Stories of Resistance and Resilience’ organised by the Oral Histories Association of India will begin in Kochi on Friday (January 24).

Vrunda Pathare, president of the association, will inaugurate the conference at the Kerala Museum, Edappally, at 9.30 a.m.

K. G. Sreeja, director of community-sourced modelling solutions, and Mariam Dossal, former Head of the History department of Mumbai University will deliver keynote addresses. Researchers will deliver 33 lectures as part of the conference, according to the communication.
