Medical intern falls unconscious, dies in Bithoor

Kanpur: A medical intern died after suddenly falling unconscious at a private medical college in Bithoor police station area on Friday afternoon.
The entire incident was recorded on surveillance cameras. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
The CCTV recording showed the intern suddenly falling unconscious at the nursing station. Her colleagues rushed her to the ICU, where doctors performed an ECG before pronouncing her dead. The Bithoor police arrived at the site to investigate and examine the surveillance footage. Sneha Pathak, 26, of Natwar Nagar, Mathura, was completing her internship in the paediatric ward. The incident occurred when she stepped out of the ward to summon attendants of the children undergoing treatment at the hospital. The hospital staff took her her to the ICU ward, where she was declared dead following an ECG.
The college administration informed her father. The family has left for Kanpur. Bithoor police are waiting for the family's arrival. Dean Brajendra Nigam said that Sneha Pathak, enrolled in the 2019 batch, was a hostel resident completing her paediatric ward internship, with merely two months remaining for her graduation. tnn
