UP Diwas observed with focus on devpt
Kanpur: A district-level programme for Uttar Pradesh Diwas was held at the Khadi Gramodyog Exhibition Pavilion, Lawn No. 3, Motijheel here on Friday, with the theme ‘Development and heritage on the path of progress in Uttar Pradesh.'
Chief guest, MP Ramesh Awasthi, in his address, stated that under the guidance of the Prime Minister and chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh is continually progressing. "As the MP of Kanpur, my effort, along with our government, will be to ensure the ongoing development of Kanpur, the state, and the nation," Awasthi further said.
Mayor Pramila Pandey in her speech welcomed everyone gathered to celebrate Uttar Pradesh Diwas and encouraged them to contribute to the state's development. MLA Neelima Katiyar emphasised the need to assess our progress and set future goals on this day.
District magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh praised the officials for organising the event with team spirit and expressed commitment to advancing Uttar Pradesh. Over the past eight years, administrative operations were conducted with priorities, transparency, and integrity, leading the state in a positive direction.
In the rural sports competition, participants ere honoured with certificates and tracksuits.
The beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana received keys to their homes. Under the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission, Neelam, Ragini, Vimla Katiyar, Vidya Devi, and Seema were acknowledged.
Progressive farmers, including Raj Kishore Pandey, Jay Narayan Singh and Raghunath Singh were honoured with certificates. In the horticulture department Pappi, Sumit Kumar, Madhu Udasi, Ankit Dhanwani and Mukhtar Ahmad Khan were recognised for their outstanding work.
Under the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao scheme, meritorious students from class 12, including Shiva Dubey, Pranshi Dwivedi, Anju Kumari, and from class 10, Swati, Khushi Dwivedi, Anshika Sahu, were awarded cheques. Under the scheme for artificial limbs and assistive devices by the department of empowerment of persons with disabilities, Vaishnavi, Naitik, and Aman were given blankets as a token of honour. For excellent work in nutrition rehabilitation under ICDS, Dr Yashwant Rai, Dr Ajay Singh, Ratna Srivastava, Aastha Dwivedi, Meena Dohre, and Renu Devi were awarded certificates. Under chief minister's youth entrepreneur development scheme, interest-free loans without guarantee will be provided to young entrepreneurs aged 21 to 40 years, with a maximum loan of Rs 5 lakh and a 10% subsidy.
