Indore (Madhya Pradesh): City crime branch arrested two persons with 360 bottles of codeine phosphate in the Khajrana area, police said on Thursday.

One of the accused had taken the bottles illegally from someone in Dewas. However, they are being questioned about their source of the same.  

According to DCP (crime) Rajesh Kumar Tripathi, information was received that a person coming from Dewas side would deliver the codeine phosphate bottles to someone near Khajrana Square.

The crime branch team reached the mentioned place and arrested Moinuddin alias Mona of Koyla Bakhal area and Shawez of Samrat Nagar area of the city. Moinuddin is a property dealer and was also involved in an attempt to murder case, loot, assault and an Arms Act case in the city while Shawez works as a driver in the city.

They have allegedly confessed to bringing the codeine bottles from other districts to supply them in the city illegally.

A total of 360 codeine bottles, a car and four mobile phones were also recovered from them.
