Two arrested for forging land documents

Two persons was arrested for forging documents in an attempt to grab land worth ₹3 crore in Budvel village of Hyderabad.

The accused were identified as E. Kishore Kumar, 56, and his brother E. Ashok Kumar, 58, both businessmen, and residents of Rajendranagar.

According to the police, the two owned AKR Petrol Pump and AKR Bar in Gaganpahad and were eyeing land right beside their plot for expansion of their business.

Their conspiracy came to light following a complaint by Omprakash Gantaji, 62, a resident of Begum Bazaar. The Mailardevpally police launched an investigation.

“The two brothers furnished a fake agreement of sale document for the 235 yards and 102 yards open plots and forged the complainant’s signatures on it,” the police explained.

Four months after a case was booked against them (on September 23, 2024), the duo was arrested and remanded to 14-day judicial custody.
