Youth shoots self with illegal weapon in Mumbai locality

Mumbai: A 23-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with an illegal weapon he possessed in the Bhandup area early on Friday. The deceased was identified as Sahil Qureshi, a resident of Ekta Nagar in Bhandup.
According to the police, the incident took place early on Friday morning at around 6 am. The deceased sent a message to his father, Fahim Qureshi, who then informed the Bhandup police. In the video message, he said he failed to achieve what he wanted in his life. His father, Fahim, runs a mutton shop in Bhandup.
The Bhandup police registered an accidental death report and are investigating the reason behind his extreme step. Police are also probing how he procured this illegal weapon.
