Robert Pattinson is back with a new project and this time, he is collaborating with Parasite filmmaker Bong Joon-Ho for a mind-bending sci-fi movie Mickey 17. The film is gearing up for its release in March this year. Ahead of the film’s arrival in cinemas, Robert and Joon-Ho gave a glimpse of their bond through a post on Instagram. Shared by the official page of the film Mickey 17, the clip shows Pattinson trying Korean food with his director. A text attached to the post read, “Snack break in Seoul."

Before Robert Pattinson begins with the food experiment, Bong Joon-Ho is seen asking him whether it is okay, assuring him that the spice level of the food is mild. But one bite and the expression on Pattinson’s face says it all. Smiling, the actor says, “It is kind of spicy though followed by asking, “That’s the medium? My God." Humorously, he also tells the filmmaker, “I am such a baby. I’m literally like – I am sweating already." Soon, Pattinson realises he was being tricked into eating the food that in fact, was heavily spicy. The duo also laughs out loud in a lighthearted moment.

    As Pattinson jokingly admitted to having a hard time, the Parasite filmmaker quickly apologises saying, “I am sorry." The clip ends on a wholesome note as the actor asks the viewers to watch their upcoming film on March 7 followed by making a heart together with Bong Joon-Ho.

    Set to hit theatres globally on March 7, Mickey 17 is inspired by the novel Mickey7 by Edward Ashton. Robert Pattinson portrays Mickey Barnes who works for an employer seeking extraordinary commitment: to die for a living. The intriguing storyline promises another thought-provoking story in the sci-fi genre by Joon-Ho.

    Apart from Robert Pattinson, the film also stars Steven Yeun, Naomi Ackie, Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo. During a press conference, the actor shared why he signed the film. He reportedly said, “You don’t find roles like this ever, especially on this scale. It’s a massive movie and I just love the fact that Bong manages to have his sense of humour very very prominent and such a huge movie."

    Bong Joon-Ho also expressed confidence in the premise saying that it will bring depth to the story.
