UPITEX 2025 platform for 300+ MSME sector players
Lucknow: Inaugurating the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Expo (UPITEX) 2025 here on Thursday, cabinet minister Rakesh Sachan reiterated the state's commitment to strengthen the MSME sector and turn UP into a hub of trade and investment.
Organised by the state chapter of PHDCCI in collaboration with the ministry of MSME, Invest UP and ODOP Uttar Pradesh, the event provided a platform to some 300 entrepreneurs from across UP.
Advisor to CM, Awanish Kumar Awasthi, noted that the expo was proving to be a vital platform for preparing local industries for global market competition and contributing to the state's economic development.
Secretary of MSME and export promotion department, Pranjal Yadav, said: "For any MSME's growth, access to space, finance and market availability plays a crucial role. Such expos provide entrepreneurs with market opportunities. State govt is offering various facilities such as loans and subsidies for this sector."
Senior officials from PHDCCI also spoke on the occasion. CEO and secretary-general, Ranjeet Mehta, called the event historic and pledged the industry body's support to establish Uttar Pradesh firmly on the world's industrial map. Likewise, Rajesh Nigam, co-chairman of the UP State Chapter, PHDCCI, said, "UPITEX will prove to be a milestone in the state's industrial development and will benefit the region greatly in the coming years."
Chief general manager of NABARD, Lucknow, Pankaj Kumar, was also present on the occasion.
