HPCL Q3 results live: HPCL shares jump nearly 5 pc as net profit more than triples in Q3 - PTI
Shares of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) on Friday climbed nearly 5 per cent after the firm reported more than tripling of its December quarter net profit as marketing margins soared.
The stock jumped 4.91 per cent to Rs 380 on the BSE.
At the NSE, it surged 4.92 per cent to Rs 379.95.
Consolidated net profit for the third quarter (October-December 2024) of FY25 stood at Rs 2,543.65 crore, a rise from Rs 712.84 crore during the same period last year, according to a stock exchange filing of the company.
Profit was also up quarter-on-quarter when compared with Rs 142.67 crore earning in July-September 2024.
Pre-tax earnings from downstream fuel retailing business jumped to Rs 4,566.07 crore in the third quarter from Rs 981.02 crore a year back and Rs 1,285.96 crore in the preceding quarter.
Income from operations was almost unchanged at Rs 1.18 lakh crore, according to the HPCL filing.

Adani Energy Solutions Q3 results live: Shares decline
Adani Energy Solutions stock declined 2.01% on the NSE to ₹792.55.
However, the company reported 26 per cent rise in adjusted net profit at ₹440 crore in the third quarter of FY25 and 15.4 per cent increase in revenue from operations at ₹4,173 crore, driven by newly commissioned transmission projects and energy sales in its Mumbai and Mundra utilities.
The company said the net profit was adjusted to exclude one-time tax reversals.
Operating profit or earning before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation rose 6 per cent to ₹1,831 crore on growth in revenue , EPC income and treasury income.

Cyient shares slump 19% post leadership shifts and Q3 results
The shares of Cyient Limited were trading at ₹1,421.45 down by ₹333.80 or 19.02 per cent on the NSE today at 10.15 am.
Cyient Limited announced its third-quarter financial results for fiscal year 2025, highlighting significant leadership changes and continued growth in its semiconductor business. The company reported a quarterly group revenue of US$228 million, representing a 4.5 per cent year-on-year growth in constant currency.
The Digital, Engineering and Technology (DET) segment delivered revenue of US$175.2 million, with a modest 2.4 per cent quarter-on-quarter growth. Notably, the company’s order intake reached $312.3 million in Q3, marking the highest-ever figure for Cyient DET and showing a nearly 100 per cent quarter-on-quarter increase. The company secured 13 large deals with a total contract potential of $234.5 million.

JSW Steel Q3 results live: Brokerages expect JSW Steel to report weak numbers today
Sajjan Jindal-led JSW Steel is expected to report 65-85 per cent fall in net profit for the December quarter on the back of lower realisation. The fall could be in the range of 65-85 per cent at ₹300-760 crore on a y-o-y (year-on-year) basis.

HPCL Q3 results live: Better marketing margins boost HPCL Q3 net to ₹2,544 crore
State-run Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) on Thursday reported a multi-fold jump in its consolidated net profit at around ₹2,544 crore during Q3 FY25 aided by better marketing margins.
The oil marketing company’s consolidated total income was largely flat on an annual basis at around ₹1.2 lakh crore. Sequentially, income was up 10 per cent.
HPCL’s consolidated total expenses were also largely flat on an annual basis at ₹1.16 lakh crore, up 7 per cent sequentially.
The company attributed the stellar results to better physical performance and operational efficiencies in both refining and marketing divisions, coupled with improved margins.
Average Gross Refining Margin (GRM) for April-December 2024 is $4.73 per barrel against $9.84 in the year-ago period. Average GRM in Q3 FY25 was $6.01 per barrel ($8.49).

Nippon India Q3 net up 4%
Nippon India Life Asset Management Company has reported a four per cent increase in December quarter net profit at ₹295 crore against ₹284 crore logged in the same period last year.
Revenue from operations was up 11 per cent at ₹588 crore (₹530 crore). The company’s employee cost increased 20 per cent to ₹106 crore (₹88 crore) while other expenses jumped 28 per cent to ₹77 crore (₹60 crore).
The overall asset under management of the fund house increased 51 per cent to ₹5.70 lakh crore (₹3.78 lakh crore). The share of equity assets rose to 51 against 49 per cent logged in the same period last year. The passive funds share was up at 26 per cent (25 per cent), while debt and liquid dipped to 15 per cent (18 per cent) and 7 per cent (9 per cent).

United Spirits reports 4.3% net profit dip in Q3
Diageo India (United Spirits Ltd), a subsidiary of the British liquor giant Diageo, reported a 4.3 per cent y-o-y fall in profit after tax (PAT) to ₹335 crore during Q3FY25.
USL’s consolidated net sales value (NSV) during the December-ended quarter stood at ₹3,432 crore, up by 14.4 per cent y-o-y. Its revenue from operations during the quarter was ₹7,732 crore, up from Q3FY24’s ₹6,962 crore.
Resilient consumer demand
The company attributed this growth to resilient consumer demand during the peak festive season and a fast scale-up in Andhra Pradesh.
In Q3, EBITDA stood at ₹568 crore, after a 16.9 per cent y-o-y growth.
