A 20-year-old woman was allegedly raped and abandoned in Mumbai's Vasai area. The police have arrested a auto rickshaw driver in connection with the case.

An auto-rickshaw driver was arrested on charges of raping a woman in Mumbai. According to the Mumbai Police, the driver allegedly raped the 20-year-old in Vasai before bringing her to Mumbai in his auto-rickshaw.
Later, he left her in an unconscious state near a temple and fled the spot.

Commenting on the matter, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Smita Patil said that a case had been registered against the driver.
He was later taken into custody.
