Ranchi: JEE Main Session-1 exam, conducted by the
National Testing Agency, began on Wednesday in two shifts with three centres in Ranchi hosting around 2,000 students. Attendance exceeded 95%, with students describing the exam as being of average difficulty. The exam centres in city were Oxford School, Arunima Infotech in Chutia, and Future Bright at Argora Chowk.
The first shift was from 9 am to 12 pm and the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. Strict security checks were conducted at all centres.
Sanya, who appeared at Oxford School, stated, "Chemistry was easy, physics was moderate, but maths was lengthy. Overall, the exam was average."
Rhythm Singh stated, "Chemistry paper had more organic questions, physics featured formula-based problems with an emphasis on optics and modern physics, while maths posed a challenge with time-consuming calculations."
Vikas Gupta, a faculty at a JEE main coaching centre, said, "Overall paper was of average difficulty. Maths question paper covered nearly all topics but was lengthy and calculation-intensive. Physics featured questions from current electricity, mechanics, and modern physics, with some repeated from previous years. Chemistry paper included questions from organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry, with several directly taken from NCERT textbooks."
