Madhya Pradesh's Sehore-- barely a 40-minute drive away from the capital Bhopal, witnessed a similar scene on music guru Pandit Vasudev Mishra's demise on Wednesday. His disciples gathered at the crematorium and gave him a melodious farewell before his last rites were performed. 

The vehicle carrying his mortal remains was surrounded by disciples holding musical instruments, performing heartfelt renditions in his honour.

According to information, guru Vasudev Mishra passed away at the age of 85 on Wednesday. His final rites were performed at the Vishram Ghat in Chhawani.

Vasudev Mishra was a prominent name in the field of music and had also established a music college, where he taught music to many students in his life span. 

It is said, his students are working across the globe, either in professional roles or through their personal contributions to the field of music.

Music performance left people teary 

Vasudev Mishra was a resident of Awadhpuri Colony in Madhya Pradesh’s Sehore. This is the place where he began his journey. 

After he passed away on Wednesday, hundreds of his music students accompanied him on his last rites, bidding farewell to their guru through soulful music. 

At the crematorium in Indiranagar, an extraordinary tribute was arranged in honor of their guru. A stage was set up, where his disciples performed emotional musical presentations using various instruments. The sight moved everyone present, leaving them overwhelmed with emotions.
