The Bihar leadership of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Wednesday (January 22, 2025) jointly attacked the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)-led mahagathbandhan on the concluding day of the first phase of the joint NDA worker’s conference. The NDA leaders claimed that the alliance would win all 243 seats in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.

While addressing the NDA party workers, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president Dr. Dilip Jaiswal said that the alliance work for the unity and culture of India.

“For the BJP, nation comes first, party comes second, and person comes last. The enthusiasm seen today among our workers of the NDA constituent parties clearly shows that we are fully prepared to win all 243 seats. This enthusiasm is also capable of converting into results,” Mr. Jaiswal said while addressing thousands of party workers at the B.M. ground in Gopalganj.

The NDA worker’s conference started on January 15 has already held nine such rallies in other districts like West Champaran, East Champaran, Sheohar, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Sitamarhi, Chhapra, and Siwan.

All the State presidents of the constituent parties made the workers pledge to register victory on all the seats. Party workers present reiterated the resolution of “phir se Nitish in 2025 (Nitish again in 2025).

Apart from BJP State president Mr. Jaiswal, Janata Dal (United) State president Umesh Kushwaha, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) State president Raju Tiwari, Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) State president Anil Singh, Rashtriya Lok Morcha State president Madan Chaudhary jointly participated in the NDA workers’ conference giving the message of unity within the alliance.

Mr. Jaiswal asserted that the constituent parties of the mahagathbandhan neither have any policy nor right intentions. Taking a jibe at the Congress and the RJD, he said that they cannot think beyond their kinsmen and act justly by their partymen. Lalu Prasad is the pioneer of dynastic politics.”

He pointed out that the people of Bihar have chosen development and good governance, and this trend will continue in this year’s Assembly election as well.

Mr. Kushwaha on the other hand said that the development which took place in Bihar under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is being discussed throughout India.

“Nitishji has started many schemes to empower women. Daughters are not limited to cooking in the house but are working at high positions in many offices after getting quality education. After 2010, one crore 30 lakh women have become self-reliant by joining the Jeevika program. He is also working to provide jobs and employment to the youth,” Mr. Kushwaha said.

Mr. Tiwari praised the developmental work done by the Bihar CM, and added that nobody can compete with Mr. Kumar, who had given a new identity to the State.

He appealed to the workers to start preparing for the Assembly elections.

HAM(S) State president Mr. Singh said that the party workers had switched into election mode.

“The Opposition had called the recent byelections as a semi-final, the result of the semi-final has given clear indications of the final result as well. The NDA’s victory is certain in the finals. In the next election, the NDA government will be formed in Bihar again,” Mr. Singh said.

The ruling NDA has swept all four Assembly seats in Bihar for which byelections were held on November 13, 2024.

Mr. Chaudhary appealed to the workers to prepare for the Assembly elections on the lines of “win the booth, win the election”.

He listed the achievements of the Nitish Kumar government and also took a dig at the Opposition.

“Before 2005, kidnapping was an industry in the State. People were afraid to leave their homes after sunset. Law and order were in a bad shape. There was no one to stop the miscreants. Now law and order prevail under the NDA regime unlike the situation during the RJD rule,” RLM Sate chief Mr. Chaudhary said.
