'Wanted Her As VP...': Donald Trump Heaps Praises On Usha Vance, Says 'She's Smarter'
Donald Trump took the oath as US President and JD Vance as his deputy on Monday. Trump lauded the Vice President and his wife Usha and termed her "smarter than him".

US President Donald Trump has revealed that he would have chosen Usha Vance, JD Vance’s wife, as his Vice President candidate, however, added that “the line of succession didn’t work".
Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on Monday, while JD Vance took an oath as his deputy.

The 78-year-old Republican addressed the attendees of his inauguration ceremony. Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Elon Musk, and External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar were among the leaders in attendance.
Following his inaugural address, he left the Capitol Rotunda and greeted others inside the building. There were several young people in the crowd who Trump lauded as being “more energetic" than those he addressed inside the Rotunda.
Trump Praises JD Vance And His Wife Usha
Addressing the crowd, Trump heaped praise on JD Vance for his re-election and said that he had endorsed him for Senate campaign for Ohio.
“I have watched JD over a period of time. I endorsed him in Ohio. He was a great senator and a very, very smart one. The only one smarter is his wife," Trump said.
His remarks made everyone in the hall laugh, including Vance and his wife.
Trump looked back at Vance and said, “I would have chosen her but somehow the line of succession didn’t work that way, right?"
Vance broke into laughter and nodded in affirmative.
“She is great and he is great. This a great, beautiful couple and an unbelievable career," Trump said while lauding them further.
On Monday when JD Vance was being sworn in, Usha won the hearts of users on social media as she proudly watched her husband take the oath of office while holding their daughter close to her.
She watched JD Vance with a smile on her face and did not take her eyes off him as he swore on the Bible during the swearing-in ceremony.
