Donald Trump Discovers Joe Biden's Letter In Oval Office Drawer, Says 'Maybe I'll Read It First' | Video
Donald Trump, while signing executive orders, discovered a letter from Joe Biden in an Oval Office desk drawer. He joked the letter could have remained in the drawer for years.

While US President Donald Trump was in the process of signing executive orders soon after taking office, he was surprised to find a letter from his predecessor Joe Biden inside one of the drawers at his desk. He, however, decided to read the letter himself first, before disclosing the contents.
The letter was discovered after one of the reporters at the Oval Office of the White House asked Trump if Biden left him a letter.

“He may have," Trump responded, as he signed one of the executive orders.
“Don’t they leave it in the desk? I don’t know," Trump said after a pause.
As Trump pulled out one of the drawers, he chuckled, “Ohhh….".
“It could have been years before we found this thing," Trump said, as he showed a white envelope with the number ’47’ (signifying 47th US President) written on it.
The US President then suggested everyone in the room read the letter together.
However, moments later, he changed his mind, and said, “Well, maybe I’ll read it first and then make that determination."
Trump was then asked if he left one for Biden, to which he responded by saying he left one in the desk, just like Biden.
A video of Trump finding the letter by Joe Biden is widely being shared on social media.

Soon after taking charge as the 47th US president on Monday, Donald Trump signed a first round of executive orders aiming to assert control of the federal workforce and withdraw from the Paris climate treaty, among others, to halt a slew of orders passed by the previous Joe Biden administration.
Among the executive orders, Trump signed with a flourish in front of a cheering crowd was one mandating that federal workers return to their offices five days a week.
The move followed the new President’s pledge to end the work-from-home culture that became common during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Last month, at a news conference at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, Trump said he planned to dismiss federal employees who don’t return to office to comply with the order.
Trump also ordered a federal hiring freeze on his first day back in office, mirroring an action he took at the start of his first term to try to reduce the size of government.
