Over 100 devotees saved after heart attacks at Kumbh
Prayagraj: Timely medical intervention has helped health officials save the lives of over 100 devotees, who suffered heart attacks since the beginning of the Maha Kumbh. Besides, 183 critical patients received ICU care, and 580 minor surgeries were also performed, said a senior official.Moreover, over 1.70 lakh blood tests were conducted, and 1,00,998 people have availed the OPD services.
"Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the Central Hospital at Maha Kumbh is providing world-class medical care to ensure the safety and well-being of millions of devotees," Dr Gaurav Dubey, nodal officer of the Maha Kumbh Medical Establishment, told TOI.
He said two devotees from Madhya Pradesh, who experienced chest pain, were successfully treated at Central Hospital.
"ECGs were conducted on both patients, leading to effective treatment and recovery," he said. Among other cases, 105-year-old Baba Ram Jane Das from Hanumanganj, Phulpur, sought treatment at Central Hospital for stomach pain.
