‘Sainya bhaye kotwal’ depicts corrupt system

Lucknow: Comedy play ‘Sainya bhaye kotwal' was staged by Rang Utsav Cultural, Educational and Social Organisation at UP Sangeet Natak Academy (UPSNA), reports Laksa Upreti. The play, adapted from the popular Marathi original Vichha Majhi Puri Kara written by Vasant Sabnis, was conceptualised by Suraj Gautam and directed by Sandeep Dev. The play featured Vishal Srivastava, Mukul Chauhan, Ashish Singh, Komal Prajapati, Anshika Saxena, Gulshan Yadav, Vaibhav and the director himself as main characters. The play portrays problems triggered by a corrupt system. It masterfully blends humour with satire. tnn
