This report looks at the top original shows and films released in 2024, in Hindi, International, Telugu, and Tamil languages, on three parameters: Viewership, Marketing Buzz, and Content Strength.
The report highlights the dominance of Prime Video and Netflix, with both platforms securing five spots each in the top 15 most-viewed originals.
Mirzapur Season 3, on Prime Video, led the charge, crossing a significant milestone of 30 million views, affirming its popularity. Meanwhile, JioCinema’s Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 topped the unscripted category, showcasing the growing appeal of reality television formats in India.
The diverse selection of non-fiction content, including TV extensions, documentaries, game shows, and influencer-driven reality formats, further reflects the changing tastes of the Indian streaming audience.
