Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi expressed severe anger at the illegal occupation of an open space allocated for park in Road No. 36, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad during her tour of the area on Monday (January 20, 2025). The encroacher was found to be cultivating vegetables in the park land, after removing the GHMC’s sign board and laying a pipeline. He accessed the park through a ladder to cultivate the garden, a statement informed.

Ms. Vijayalakshmi instructed the officials to remove an illegally built compound wall and the vegetable saplings form the park, and to re-instal the GHMC’s sign board indicating that it was a park. The mayor laid foundation stone for CC road works in Pratap Nagar area of Venkateshwara Nagar ward during her tour, the note said.
