In a recent incident at Infinity Mall, Andheri, a worker from another state faced punishment from members of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) after allegedly harassing a Marathi woman by taking an inappropriate photo of her. The female staff member reported the incident to the police, who instructed the individual involved to delete the photos. Following her complaint to the police, Reliance Fresh Signature decided to terminate her employment. Seeking assistance, she contacted MNS, prompting Sandesh Desai, the President of the MNS Versova Assembly Division, along with his team, to visit the mall and confront the management of Reliance Fresh.

The MNS confronted Akash Sharma, the outsider responsible for the inappropriate behavior, and made him apologize to the woman while holding his ears. They also inquired about her reinstatement at the mall and insisted that the young man be removed from his job. Then the woman expressed her gratitude to MNS chief Raj Thackeray for helping her achieve justice.

MNS party primarily represents the interests of the Marathi-speaking community in Maharashtra and advocates for local rights. It is known for its firm position against the migration of people from other states, often stressing the importance of safeguarding jobs and resources for the local population. MNS has been involved in various controversies, including protests and conflicts related to its regionalist policies, which can create tensions with migrant groups.
