In the film industry, some actors have careers that are nothing short of surprising. They possess all the qualities that could make them stars, yet one wrong decision can change their fate forever. Today, we’re discussing one such prominent star who had everything success, fame, and opportunities. However, one decision derailed his career to such an extent that it became nearly impossible for him to get back on track. Having worked in some major South films, he even shared the screen with Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

We’re talking about Mirza Abbas Ali. Abbas Ali began his career as a model in 1994 and made his film debut in 1996 with the Tamil film Kadhal Desam, which was a commercial success. He went on to act in several hit Telugu and Tamil films, including Priya O Priya, Rajhamsa, Raja, Kannazhuthi Pottum Thottu, Suyamvaram, and Padayappa, all of which were successful at the box office. Abbas Ali also had a brief role in Hey Ram, which starred Kamal Haasan and Shah Rukh Khan. His major hit came with Kandukondain Kandukondain, where he worked alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Mammootty, Ajith Kumar, and Tabu. He later appeared in the film Minnale.

In 2002, Mirza Abbas Ali made his Bollywood debut with Ansh. However, both of these films failed at the box office. Ali tried to focus on his career in the Hindi film industry and turned down several South film projects. Later, he did take on some roles in South films, but they eventually flopped. Over time, he was only offered cameo and supporting roles in Telugu films.

By 2011, films where he had been signed as the lead actor were also shelved. He shifted to acting in some TV shows, but eventually, he left the industry and moved to New Zealand. There, he took on odd jobs, and reports suggest that he even worked as a mechanic or cleaning toilets to make ends meet. He returned to India in 2023 but has not signed any new projects since. Some reports also claim that he went bankrupt.
