Udaipur: Two men were killed and two others seriously injured when a speeding SUV overturned on Badgaon Road in the Badgaon area of Udaipur late Friday night. The accident occurred around 10pm, when five people were returning from a wedding ceremony in the SUV, which got completely wrecked.
The deceased were identified as Jagdish Dangi, 23, a resident of Selu village, and Piyush Dangi, 17, a resident of Pula. While Bablu Dangi and Kishan were seriously injured, Pawan sustained minor injuries. The injured were rushed to MB Hospital in the city.
SHO Puran Singh Rajpurohit of Badgaon police station said the five men were returning to Udaipur from a wedding at Thoor village, and their speeding SUV lost control and overturned near Loyra village. Jagdish was driving the SUV, with Piyush sitting in the front seat beside him.
The SUV flipped three to four times on the road and landed in a ditch 50 feet away. Nearby villagers arrived at the scene and informed police.
