Awareness on PMMSY, FIDF, LIFIC held

Bishnupur, January 17 2025: A one-day district-level awareness programme on Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojna (PMMSY), Fisheries and Aquaculture Infrastructure Development Fund (FIDF) and LIFIC was held at Bishnupur Kiyamba Ningshing Shanglen, on Friday.
The awareness programme, jointly organised by National Cooperative Development Corporation Laxnianrao Inamdar Academy (NCDC LINAC) and Regional Training Centre (RTC), Guwahati under the aegis of Ministry of CoOperation, was attended by Registrar of Cooperative Society (RCS) Arambam Valentina, CBBO-DSSS, Imphal joint director reverend Soni Thomas, NCDC Guwahati RO Jagadeshwar Rao, Chandel district fishery officer Sapam Jiteri and Fisheries Department NCDC deputy director Patil Nilesh Suresh as the presidium members.
During the evening session, NCDC, Guwahati regional officer Jagadeshwar Rao spoke on the "Role of NCDC in the Development of Fisheries Cooperatives across the Country" and Sapam Jiten elaborated on the topic Awareness about the Role of the Department of Fisheries & NCDC through the Implementation of Various Financial Assistance Programs under PMMSY and FIDF Schemes" while Patil Nilesh deliberated on "Awareness about the FFPO Scheme, PM-MKSSY, and LINAC-Fisheries Business Incubation Centre (LIFIC), including Its Significance, Application Procedure, and Benefits" .
